CHI Nov 06 LID Secret Buddy Hair Bow Exchange (May)

Thank you SB (Secret Buddy) for the most adorable red and black plaid hair ribbon. We absolutely loved it! It will go with so many different outfits. I loved that it also has an alligator clip. I buy interchangeable headbands that can be used with hairbows that have the alligator clips, so this was absolutely perfect. Thank You!

Referrals??

Well, rumor has it that there may be a larger batch of referrals this time around. Even up to November 16th! I hope that the rumor is true, but will play it on the safe side. Hopefully, by June 1 or 4th we'll have news on how far along they've made it through on referrals. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

I love you with all my heart and soul. We are so blessed to have you in our lives. You have always been there for me while I was growing up and even now. You always look for the positive, You never complain, You only ever see goodness in everyone and everything. You drop your plans at a moments notice to make sure someone is taken care of and happy first. I hope today, on this very special day, you take the time for just you and do what you want to do.

Oct 2006 DTC Group -Secret Buddy Theme (May - Ladybugs & Pandas)

Thank you secret buddy for the most wonderful gifts. You really had so many wonderful gifts. We loved the handmade denim tote with Kayla's name on it. I wish I was as crafty as you. It really means so much to our family all the love you put into each month's gift. I loved the ladybug puzzle blocks. I've never seen anything like it. Really cute! and the ladybug/daisy white board for her bedroom was also a really neat idea. We also received the most precious yellow one piece outfit with ladybugs and flowers that read "I love mommy!" Also inside was this really cool soft discovery ladybug that comes with a story book for learning and we received a book called "Five Little Ladybugs". I was getting ready to by this book, so it was perfect! Among the many wonderful gifts we have already received was a soft cuddly fleece ladybug blanket, precious pink ladybug barretts, large container of egg rolls, candy, and lots of chinese character tattoos. The boys loved the tattoos & candy. You truly have warmed our hearts with your continued thoughtfulness that you put into each and every gift we receive.

Received our Brown Envelope!

The Brown Envelope has arrived!

It's an envelope with contents stating that the USCIS (US Citizen & Immigration Services) has notified the U.S. Consulate of Guangzhou that the Dept of Homeland Security has approved our petition to adopt an overseas orphan. It contains a lot of forms that you submit to the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou to process your child's visa. It has nothing to do with referrals or review of dossiers. Some parents won't receive the envelope since some USCIS offices don't send the notice to Guangzhou, and that is why some don't receive their brown envelope until just prior to traveling. Thus, those of us you didn't receive the brown envelope will receive the required paperwork from their agency prior traveling to China.

I was so excited to have received this envelope, even though, it's not necessary yet. I guess to me it's just a another confirmation that they know we exist. So, for the time being we will tuck away these forms until we receive our referral. Hopefully, referrals will speed up.

My 39th Birthday

Well today was my 39th birthday. My sister took me out for lunch (her treat...gotta like that) and then my husband & boys and my parents, sister & her boys came over to celebrate after work tonight. Wow, there was a lot of candles. I made my wish....and I don't want to jinx it, but I will tell you I bet you can guess what I wished for with this long...long..wait. Hope my wish comes true:-)
